Beeches Cottage, one of the larger properties in Buckland Court offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 6 guests, close to the pretty village of Slapton and the coast in South Devon. Located in delightful South Hams countryside and near the world famous nature reserve at Slapton Ley, it's also close to a 3 mile beach and several excellent real ale pubs. Dartmouth and Kingsbridge are within 15 minutes drive, both with interesting shops, fine restaurants, boat trips, sailing and much more. Totnes, a quaint Elizabethan town is 9 miles away and Dartmoor, with wonderful walking and spectacular scenery is within easy reach. Buckland Court is well situated for a wide range of indoor and outdoor pursuits including golf. A gate from the courtyard opens out to a sweep of grass and orchard (1.5 acres) including a large pond populated by ducks. There is a built in barbecue with picnic benches where guests can relax and young people can play outdoor games. Childrens adventure playhouse on stilts with a slide and swings and a pool table/tennis table in the laundry room for those rainy days. The cottages are very comfortable and well furnished and set around a pretty courtyard with summer hanging baskets and benches. The kitchens are well equipped with gas hobs, cooker extractor hoods, built-under ovens, fridges and microwaves. All beds are standard size (4ft 6in doubles, 3ft singles). The bathrooms all have a shower over the bath, hand basin and WC. All cottages have central heating, a gas fire in the living area and are equipped with iron and ironing board. There is a large communal laundry room with coin operated washing machine, dryer and freezer. There is a large range of local information. Beeches Cottageis the most spacious at Buckland Court, has full central heating and sleeps 6 in three bedrooms with full-size beds. Downstairs, a striking feature of the cottage is its spacious openplan livinganddining room. Thedining areahas oak laminated floor and a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, freezer and dishwasher. There is a step down to the largeliving areawith gas log effect fire, two big three seater sofas and three armchairs. There is a TV, DVD and a stereo system. Upstairs a huge picture window with doors looks out from the landing over the orchard and gives access to a small patio and the communal gardens. Themaster suitecomprises a largedouble bedroomwith sofa and TV and anen-suite bathroom. The bedroom has views over the duck ponds and gardens across rolling countryside towards Dartmoor. There are two further good sizedtwin bedroomseach with two 3ft beds and a second bathroom. Both thefamily bathroomand the en-suite have showers over the baths.
